Martin Schulze

PD Dr. Dr. Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Martin Schulze is a senior physician at the Department of General Orthopaedics and Tumour Orthopaedics at Münster University Hospital. Since 2021, he has headed Experimental Orthopaedics and established the 3D center, which opened in February 2023 with the world’s first ISO ASTM 52920-certified 3D printing process at a university hospital. The center develops and investigates innovative solutions for patient care through additive manufacturing and new medical materials. From 2003 to 2009, he worked at B. Braun – Aesculap AG in Tuttlingen. He then joined Münster University Hospital as Technical Director of the Biomechanics Lab until 2015. He received his doctorate in medical sciences in 2012, in medicine in 2020, and has been a specialist in orthopaedics and trauma surgery since 2023.
